Classroom Successes

Here are some things that have worked well this year:

1.  Glogs:  In Literacy Skills, students crated glogs that expressed their own reading personalities.  The intuitive nature of glogs, along with the fun style, allowed for a lot of creativity.  The comments feature was also a fun way for students to express interest in each other's books and to ask questions about them.  I'm going to have students do glog-based booktalks regularly next year.

2.  Prezi: I decided last year that I wanted to do my syllabus in graphic form.  I've done it using inspiration but I love doing it with prezi.  The dynamic movement and groupings help students see the elements of the syllabus and since it's online, they can't lose it!

Next year, I'm going to start using prezi from the beginning so students have a chance to learn to use it themselves.
